Psychometric Assessments for Workplace Safety

Reduce safety incidents and risk

Psychometric Assessments – the science of predicting safety performance

When assessing for safety, a candidate’s behavioural preferences only tell one part of the story. To get a complete picture of their propensity to work safely, Davidson can test their abilities and mind-set, together with behaviours, to predict their likelihood of having a safety incident.

When included as a component of a pre-employment evaluation, Davidson’s psychometric safety assessments are specifically proven to predict the safety performance of your new hires, decrease injury risk, improve safety culture, and performance a key measures such as AIFR (all injury frequency rate).

Our Approach

Assessments can be customised to your individual organisation’s needs. Best practice combines safety, cognitive and psychomotor assessments to provide an accurate measure of an individual’s propensity to behave safely in their role.

These have been developed from extensive research on the safe behaviours needed to minimise injury and hazards on the job. Measures include reaction time, stress recovery, attention, concentration, speed and trajectory judgement and visual co-ordination.

Through our psychomotor assessment, we administer tests and simulated exercises to assess abilities and competencies specific to safety-critical roles.
